ACTIVITIES

The goal of the event “The History of Cyprus travels the world”, was to inform the audience about the ambition of Melathron Ecumenical Hellenism to translate the two-volume work “History of Cyprus” to English and to send 3.000 copies to the libraries of foreign centers of power (U.S.A., Canada, Australia, Great Britain, European Union) for free.

In the presence of 400 guests, the event of “Melathron Ecumenical Hellenism” was held in the Cultural Centre of Kykkos Monastery, in Archangelo, Nicosia on Monday the 24th of June.

In the presence of the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece Mr. Ieronimos, a toll was carried out for the 20 years of our action and the beginning of our ten year program recording the Migration of Hellenism was announced.

The event “Greece will never die” of the FOUNDATION OF ECUMENICAL HELLENISM, with the blessing of the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Mr. Ieronimos, was held with great success on the 19th of March 2012 in the TERPSICHORI Hall of the Athens HILTON.

We celebrated with songs of Thrace, Pontus and Asia Minor that were sung by Charis Aidonidis and Petros Gaitanos. 2000 members watched.

Marianna B. Vardinoyianni, Ambassadress of Goodwill of UNESCO, was proclaimed to High President of the <> program.  Marietta Chrousala presented the event and Mimis Plessas and George Chatzinasios followed with a concert. 2000 members watched.

The Chairman of the Permanent Special Committee of the Hellenic Parliament on Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nikolaos Tsartsionis, invited Mr. Stavros Panousopoulos, President of the Program "Ecumenical Hellenism", and Mr. Athanasios Agelopoulos, Professor of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Scientific Supervisor of the program to present their activities.

The hand-over of 785 volumes of the publishing project "Greek treasures around the World", to the members of the European Parliament of Brussels.

Subject: The beginning of the dispatch of the publication "Greek Treasures around the World" to the foreign centers of power. The Worldwide committee for the return of the Parthenon marbles attended. A vote was announced and the event was presented by the journalist Eirini Nikolakopoulou. Tony Maroudas sang.

Five hundred celebrities attended the event organized by the "Program of Ecumenical Hellenism" in Athinais on Monday, March 31st. In the crowded hall, after all the attendees "traveled" all over the planet with the projection of the Program’s missions to the centers of Hellenism, then the Program’s President, Stavros Panousopoulos, announced the continuation of the program for the next decade.

In a specially designed place, based on original references of ancient writings of the 3rd century BC. accompanied  by ancient-theme events under the sounds of flutes and chorus of Lyravlos and Palirrhia ensembles.

An official presentation of the Program "Ecumenical Hellenism" was presented by the Program’s President Mr. Stavros Panousopoulos at the Hellenic Parliament, to the members of the Committee, in the presence of the General Secretary of Greeks Abroad, Mr. Dimitrios Dollis.

Event for the first 5 year report of our program. The event was presented by Mrs. Mimi Denisi. Vasilis Lekkas and the Byzantine Quire from the Cropia County sang.

Christodoulos, the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, officially welcomes the program "Ecumenical Hellenism" and takes it under his auspice. The event was presented by the journalist Katerina Kolletsi. 200 people attended.

The event was covered by satellite from channel ET3, throughout the world. Hostess was journalist Katerina Koletsi. Lakis Chalkias sang. 1.200 people participated.
