Meeting with HACCI Press Release
A great business mission is organized by the Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Victoria for the World Business Conference organized by the Ecumenical Hellenism Center in Athens during the days 7-8-9-10 of July 2011.
On Wednesday, 16th February 2011, the Commercial Director of the Hellenic -Australian Chamber of Melbourne, Mr. Iliopoulos Georgios met in Athens the President of the “Ecumenical Hellenism Center” Mr. Stavros Panousopoulos, the special advisor Mr. Barkatsas Eleftherios and the charged for Public Relations & Conference Mrs. Darioti Vivian in the Center’s offices.
The main subject of the meeting was the Conference to be held in Athens the forthcoming July. Of course, he was informed for the major activities of the Ecumenical Hellenism which for 16 years is active not only in promoting of our national issues but also in the Greek Diaspora.
Impressed the representative of the Hellenic-Australian Chamber, after congratulating the President and his partners for their work, he said: “I am impressed by your activities! I was informed by your colleagues in Australia Mrs. Petty Soublis and Varvara Karanikolas, but today I can say that I fully understood the national work of the Ecumenical Hellenism Center.”
After they analyzed the specificities of the Congress – the face-to-face meetings and the business meetings in the facilities of the greek businesses, he said: “I think that your thinking is in the right direction so that the Congress to be essential and productive. We have participated in many Conferences, but we consider this as the most complete. The Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Victoria will participate in this Congress with a multitudinous team, not only because we believe that this will be a business benefit, but also because we think that the time has arrived for us, the Overseas Greek, to do something more practical and beneficial for the Country.”
Mr. Iliopoulos accepted President’s proposal to be one of the speakers of the Congress and he warmly thanked the President for his decision for the business world of Melbourne to be honored on his behalf with the “Golden Wreath” of the “Ecumenical Hellenism”.
