Athens, 30th of January 2019
Melathron Ecumenical Hellenism, particularly moved, welcomed the approval and inclusion of the publication “History of Cyprus Α’” in the catalogue of recommended books for the enrichment of school libraries by the Department of Secondary General Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Cypriot Democracy.
In their letter of approval of our publication, the Ministry notes, among other things, that in the present publication, the history of Cyprus is presented starting from the Stone Age, continuing to the Bronze Age, which was a period of great development of Cyprus, and then the Hellenistic period follows when Cyprus is completely hellenized. This first part of the two-volume work covers up until the early Byzantine period.
The letter concludes mentioning that “this book is a valuable tool for students and teachers. A book that is scientifically proven, with rich content”.
On behalf of the President, Mr. Stavros Panousopoulos, and the affiliates of Melanthron Ecumenical Hellenism, we express our gratitude for the praising words and we expect the same response for the second and last part of our work “History of Cyprus” which will be published within 2019.
