The supporters of the Ecumenical Hellenic Foundation join forces for a “journey of knowledge in outermost Greece” in 100 schools in the most remote areas of Greece!
The goal of the event “The History of Cyprus travels the world”, was to inform the audience about the ambition of Melathron Ecumenical Hellenism to translate the two-volume work “History of Cyprus” to English and to send 3.000 copies to the libraries of foreign centers of power (U.S.A., Canada, Australia, Great Britain, European Union) for free.
In the presence of 400 guests, the event of “Melathron Ecumenical Hellenism” was held in the Cultural Centre of Kykkos Monastery, in Archangelo, Nicosia on Monday the 24th of June.
The Ecumenical Hellenism Foundation in cooperation with the Institute of Religious and Ethnic Identity conducted a mission of exceptional interest in the aspects of religion, ethnicity and tourism.
In the presence of the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece Mr. Ieronimos, a toll was carried out for the 20 years of our action and the beginning of our ten year program recording the Migration of Hellenism was announced.
Trip to South Italy and Sicily, Palermo, Selinoundas, Akragas, Syracuses, Catania, Messini. We visited the Greek speaking villages, met the Greeks and their history, we admired the dynamics of the ancient Hellenic culture and walked throughout the castles of the Byzantium and the middle Ages.

The Chairman of the Permanent Special Committee of the Hellenic Parliament on Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nikolaos Tsartsionis, invited Mr. Stavros Panousopoulos, President of the Program "Ecumenical Hellenism", and Mr. Athanasios Agelopoulos, Professor of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Scientific Supervisor of the program to present their activities.

Forty people, ready for the most difficult and tedious mission, began the journey to the Black Sea regions, where Hellenism thrived for hundreds of years. Bucharest, a city with a population of 3,000,000 was the meeting point for travelers from Athens and Thessaloniki to begin the most difficult mission of the "Foundation of Ecumenical Hellenism “program.
Five hundred celebrities attended the event organized by the "Program of Ecumenical Hellenism" in Athinais on Monday, March 31st. The work of the WORLDWIDE CONFERENCE OF DISPERSED GREEKS, which took place in Athens on the 6th, 7th, 8th June 2006, was completed with great success by the "Ecumenical Hellenism" Program and the National Center for Greek Studies and Research (EKEME) of the La Trobe University Of Melbourne.
The Archbishop of Panama and the United States of America, Mr. Athinagoras, the Mayor of Havana Mr. Leal, and the Minister of Religious Affairs and Relations with Greece Mr. Calida, welcomed us, representing President Fidel Castro. We now know what love for Greece and ancient Greek culture means.
The "Ecumenical Hellenism" program “closed” its first ten-years and its second round of projects with this great mission to Australia and the distribution of five hundred volumes and 2,000 Greek Flags.
Within deeply moved emotional circumstances, the program "Ecumenical Hellenism" carried out the great "cultural journey" on the roads of the East from the 05th until the 09th of July.
The mission consisted of 92 personalities from all over Greece leaded by Panousopoulos Stavros, President of the program "Ecumenical Hellenism", Mantouvalos Petros MP of New Democracy, Archimandrite Gervasios of the Metropolis of Neapolis and Stavropolis and Director of the Primary School of Katerini, Pappas Theophilos Mayor of Syvota Thesprotias. ANT1 TV with the reporter Yannis Pachoulakis and the cameraman Ventouris Dimitris, were with us.
In a specially designed place, based on original references of ancient writings of the 3rd century BC. accompanied by ancient-theme events under the sounds of flutes and chorus of Lyravlos and Palirrhia ensembles.
We visited the forgotten Greeks in Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paolo, and individual Greek families, in the N. Pole, Patagonia, Iguaçu Falls and the Amazon. 50 of our members participated.
Along with our meetings with the Greeks, we visited the Alexandrian Library and we traveled to the monuments of Egyptian culture (Luxor, Karnak, Pyramids), safari in the Bedouin camps in the Sinai desert and the Saint Catherine’s Monastery in Sinai.

An official presentation of the Program "Ecumenical Hellenism" was presented by the Program’s President Mr. Stavros Panousopoulos at the Hellenic Parliament, to the members of the Committee, in the presence of the General Secretary of Greeks Abroad, Mr. Dimitrios Dollis.
During the events, the two-volume projects MACEDONIA and HOLY PILGRIMAGES - TOWERS OF ORTHODOXY were offered free of charge from the Program in Greek and English, to Greek and foreign libraries of South Africa in the framework of international information on Greek culture issues.
